As explained by Papa Yaw
Let’s me tell you what is on the world news agenda for the next months: world overpopulation!
Some people think the world is becoming overpopulated. And, surprisingly Africa takes the center of attention because of the recent growth of its population. The people behind this war against Africa rebirth would produce shiny graphics and complex MBA types matrix which would look very convincing, and indeed would convince weak minds and fools.
Here is a flipped coin perspective you won’t see in the mainstream news outlets.
The most overpopulated countries per square kilometer are mostly in Europe, regardless of the fact that Europe has already exported over half a billion of its people out to two continents: America and Australia 5 centuries ago, there were no Europeans in America and Australia. Nor Africa.
Also, the concept of overpopulation is a fraud and a convenient ideology, because it ignores impact per capita (per one person) and focus on simple numerical.
The USA consumes 25% of world resources while its population is only 5%.
And the West as a bloc represent less than 15% of the world population while consuming over half of world resources and having 80% of climate change factors.
The problem of world population is not that we are too heavy for the earth to carry, but the impact of human activity on environment and resources.
Understood in that perspective, you can see why it’s convenient for some people to throw dubious numbers out there, because attacking poor Africans is such a harmless exercise.
Africa as a whole has a population less than China, and a total GDP half of a small country like France, which is 5 times smaller than Congo. For an already overpopulated continent, many European countries are given incentives to their women to make more babies. For an already underpopulated continent, Africa is crowded with western overpopulation experts given money to NGOs and governments to stop the population growth. In the meantime, China is abandoning it one child policy to boost its population.
Only in Africa, we are talking about population reduction funded by Western NGOs and governments. Is it because Africa does not have resources to feed 2 billion people? No. It’s because some other nations want those resources for their own people, instead.
I hope you won’t bite on this new covert war on the poor, and another distraction from the real culprits. If you live in Africa, and those Western overpopulation experts come to spread their dubious propaganda, ask them some tough questions, and take them as the new Christopher Columbus. The world is overpopulated, let’s have less rich people, should be the real agenda.
